English-born Ghanaian teen defender Jarell Quansah has signed his first professional contract with English Premier League powerhouse Liverpool FC.
The 18-year-old from Warrington joined the Reds at the age of seven and has progressed through the year groups.
He broke into the U18s team last season at right-back but his versatility also allows him to operate at centre-back, from where he has regularly captained Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s side this term.
“Comfortable on the ball and with good recovery pace, Quansah has been awarded a long-term deal with the club,” a statement on the Liverpool website read.
