The club officially announced his signing on Tuesday, February 11, securing the winger from French Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC. Sabbi, 27, has committed to a contract running through 2027, with an option for an additional year in 2028.
In his first interview after the move, Sabbi shared his enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity. “This opportunity with Whitecaps FC is an exciting new chapter in my journey, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I know that God’s plan for me is bigger than my own choices, and I’m trusting in the process every step of the way,” he stated.
The forward also promised to give his best for his new club. “I’m beyond excited to give my all for this team, the amazing fans, and the incredible city of Vancouver. I can’t wait to be part of it, both on and off the field,” he added.
