The Senegalese Football Federation (FSN) headed by President Augustin Senghor – has decided to distribute all the Covid-19 related monies it will be receiving from FIFA and CAF to its members. A total of 1.8 million USD is to be shared among the members of the association.
The Executive Committee of the FSN met on Wednesday and took the decision which has been widely been congratulated by the populace after the association cancelled the 2019.20 season without declaring a winner.
The FSN – like any other FIFA member – is entitled to 1.5 million USD as Covid-19 Relief grant from the global governing body of football and a further 300 000 USD from CAF and all this monies have been given to the members of the FSN including the 28 first and second clubs.
In the sharing formula as seen by SportsWorldGhana.com, each of the 14 elite clubs will be taking 26 ,000 USD whilst the 14 second tier sides will take home about 17, 000 USD each.
The 24 third division football clubs in the country are given 12 000 USD each and the fourth tier sides which are 32 in number will receive about 5, 200 USD.
Each of the 10 top tier Women football teams will also take 5, 200 USD whereas the 10 second tier women clubs get 3, 500 USD each.
Senegal Beach Soccer Association which is under the SFN also get about 1, 720 USD and the Football Medical Doctors Association in the country of Sadio Mane will receive 8, 600 USD.
The Senegal Old Players Association are not left out as they have been allocated some 3, 400 USD.
