Amankwah Mireku, a legendary figure from Hearts of Oak, has expressed his straightforward opinion on the underperforming Black Stars striker, Inaki Williams.
During an interview with Happy FM, Mireku contended that it might be time to remove the striker from the national team.
In his assessment, Inaki Williams has made little to no contribution to the national team since his debut.
Amankwah Mireku pointed out that if Black Stars coach Chris Hughton still believes in the striker, then he should seek advice from Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde on how to help him score goals.
“So why continue giving him playing time in the team to prove what? If the coach feels he is too important to lose, then there should be a consultation with the coach of Athletic Bilbao on how to unlock the player so he can score goals for Ghana,” the Hearts of Oak great said.
Despite his struggles with the Black Stars, Inaki Williams has had a promising start to the 2023/24 Spanish La Liga season.
He has featured in nine matches for Bilbao and has four goals and two assists to his name.
