Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers has indicated that Daniel Amartey starts games this season due to his consistency, desire and mentality in training.
The 27-year-old has so far started all four games for the club in the Premier League this season and his full of confidence.
Even though the club has struggled overall, Rodgers still trusts Amartey and explained why.
“I see them every day in training, so it’s consistency and desire and mentality, all these things. Cags was one who was linked with going away as well, he’s only got a year left on his contract,” the former Liverpool manager said as quoted by leicestermercury.co.uk.
“We’ve tried to pick the players we’ve seen in training who are committed to the work, and how they have been working.”
Amartey will be look to maintain his fitness with Black Stars callups around the corner.
