On Wednesday, August 2, Ghanaian teenager Christopher Bonsu Baah officially debuted for KRC Genk in their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Servette Football Club.
Bonsu Baah entered the game in extra time, replacing countryman Joseph Paintsil for the final 15 minutes.
The 18-year-old was making his comeback after missing the first leg of the tie as well as the first game of the 2023/24 Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
However, it was not the ideal debut for the Ghanaian, as Genk lost after a penalty shootout, with Servette scoring all of theirs while Genk only scored one leading to the latter’s exit.
