Ghanaian international Christopher Antwi-Adjei made a notable debut for Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga 2 on Sunday, contributing to a 2-2 draw against Magdeburg at the Avnet Arena.
The former Black Stars winger came off the bench in the 72nd minute and played a key role in securing a point for Schalke. Antwi-Adjei displayed promising performances, including assisting Kenan Karaman for the crucial equalizer in the 76th minute.
Schalke 04 initially took the lead through Moussa Sylla in the 8th minute, but Magdeburg equalized in the 40th minute with a goal from Marcus Mathisen. Magdeburg then gained a 2-1 advantage just before halftime with Martijn Kaars’ strike.
Antwi-Adjei’s contribution was instrumental in leveling the score, showcasing his impact in a tightly contested match.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian joined Schalke 04 last week, signing a two-year deal. His career, predominantly spent in Germany, includes significant experience with various clubs. Last season, he made 25 appearances for Bochum, scoring two goals and providing two assists, and played a vital role in helping the club avoid relegation.
Antwi-Adjei has accumulated 113 appearances in the Bundesliga and 62 in Bundesliga 2, bringing valuable experience to his new team.
