Ajax are on the verge of losing Dutch-born Ghanaian talented attacking midfielder Gabriel Osei Misehouy transfer-free this Summer.
English sides Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, and OSC Lille, among others, are interested in the services of the promising midfielder, according to Ajax Showtime. The talented midfielder has an expiring contract and talks about a deal extension is ongoing.
The player who believes he should be given minutes in the main Ajax team, has only been playing with Jong Ajax. In view of that, he is weighing the option of leaving the club to fight for his breakthrough elsewhere in Europe.
Misehouy’s current contract expires after this season and Ajax wants to offer the 18-year old midfielder a fresh offer. The midfielder himself wants nothing more than to succeed at the club where he has played since the age of seven.
Misehouy started the preparation at Ajax 1 and participated in the friendly match against FC Den Bosch, in which he came on after halftime and scored a goal.
However, Misehouy had to report back to the reserves when the team returned from vacation. Later he was allowed to go on a training camp to Germany, only to have to leave earlier to play a practice match with Jong Ajax.
With a hat-trick in the aforementioned friendly and good performances in the first few league games of the new season, Misehouy has so far responded to that, but it does not seem to lead to recognition from Ajax yet.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that the midfielder has not trained with the former since the training camp in Germany, as he wants to say goodbye to the Dutch giants hopefully before the Summer transfer window shuts.
