Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has confirmed that English-born Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu will join Oxford United.
The 23 -year old forward recently extended his contract with the Addicks to enable the English side get a transfer fee in any move.
“Fosu is going to Oxford United. He knows Karl Robinson (the coach), I think is good for him,” Bowyer told London News.
“I spoke with him (Tariqe) a couple of days ago. I wish him well.
“I don’t have a clue on how much money is involved. I don’t mingle my self in that. Footballing-wise is the best place for him and Karl has been interested in him long time,” he added.
Fosu scored 11 goals in 65 games for the Addicks, including netting against Oxford in the side’s 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium in October 2017.
He also spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town, Accrington Stanley and Colchester United before joining Charlton for an undisclosed fee two years ago.
