Charlotte FC have completed the signing of Ghanaian centre-back Morrison Agyemang from Croatian side Šibenik. The 20-year-old joins the Major League Soccer (MLS) club after an impressive season in Europe.
Agyemang played a key role for Šibenik during the 2024/25 season, making 34 appearances and contributing two goals and one assist. Known for his strong tackling and calmness at the back, he was a regular starter and one of the team’s most trusted players.
The move marks a new chapter in his career as he takes his talent to the United States. At Charlotte, he will reunite with former Croatian league goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina, who is already part of the squad.
Šibenik confirmed that the transfer has been finalized, with the club receiving €250,000 from the deal. The transfer also comes at a good time for the Croatian club, which has been dealing with financial difficulties in recent months.
Although there was interest in Agyemang from other Croatian teams—especially Osijek—the young defender decided to take the opportunity to play in MLS instead.
Charlotte FC will be hoping Agyemang brings added strength and depth to their defence as they continue to build for the future.
