German-born Ghanaian forward Charles-Jesaja Herrmann played a crucial role in SKU Amstetten’s thrilling 3-3 draw against SV Horn in the Austrian Bundesliga 2 on Friday, September 27.
Despite a strong start by SV Horn, who took a commanding 2-0 lead with goals from Amir Abdijanovic in the 22nd minute and Din Barlov in the 29th, Amstetten showcased remarkable resilience. Herrmann pulled one back for the visitors just before halftime, scoring in the 44th minute after a well-placed assist from Thomas Mayer, making it 2-1.
Amstetten continued their resurgence in the second half, with Mayer leveling the score at 2-2 in the 59th minute. However, SV Horn briefly regained the lead through Florian Fischerauer’s strike in the 65th minute.
Not to be outdone, Amstetten equalized again when Yannick Oberleitner found the back of the net in the 71st minute, assisted by Sebastian Wimmer.
Despite SV Horn dominating possession and shots on target, Amstetten’s determination and teamwork earned them a valuable point.
