Ghanaian midfielder Carlos Ohene was the star of the show as Levski Sofia crushed PFC Lokomotiv Sofia 1929 6-1 in a one-sided match in the Bulgarian First Professional League.
The midfielder played the full 90 minutes and played a crucial role in his team’s dominant performance.
The hosts, Levski Sofia, started strong and took the lead in the 5th minute through Ante Aralitsa’s goal. However, Levski quickly responded with an equalizer in the 12th minute, thanks to Maicon’s assist to Alex Kolev.
Aldair then put Levski ahead with a fine individual goal in the 21st minute, and Ohene played a key role in the team’s third goal just before halftime. He initiated a quick counter-attack and passed to Jawad El Jemili, who scored with a left-footed shot. El Jemili added his second goal just two minutes later, giving Levski a commanding 4-1 lead at halftime.
The second half saw Levski continue to dominate, with Ohene scoring the team’s fifth goal in added time. Sangare then added a sixth goal in the 97th minute to complete the rout.
The match was briefly interrupted in the 76th minute due to a lighting issue at the Lokomotiv Stadium, but the teams quickly resumed play and Levski emerged victorious.
Levski Sofia will look to carry their momentum into their next league game against Botev Vratsa.
