Henok Tesfamikael Zerom from Eritrea has been appointed as the referee for the CAF Champions League preliminary round 2nd leg match between Ghanaian champions FC Samartex 1996 and Victoria United from Cameroon.
The 34-year-old Zerom will be supported by his fellow countrymen Sirak Samuel Menghis (Assistant I), Adel Salih Hamid (Assistant II), and Musie Beyene Tewelde (Fourth Official). Additionally, Sinko Zeli from Côte d’Ivoire will serve as the Match Commissioner.
FC Samartex 1996 heads into the clash as favorites after securing a 1-0 victory in the first leg played in Cameroon.
The crucial second leg is set to kick off at 15:00 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
Samartex will look to capitalize on their home advantage to advance to the next round of the competition.
