Asante Kotoko coach Charles Akonnor has named a strong 18-man squad for their crunchy CAF Confederation Cup match against ZESCO United on Sunday.
The list includes experienced Jordan Opoku but Daniel Nii Adjei’s name is again missing from the squad.
It is not yet known what might have influenced the decision by the gaffer to snub the former TP Mazembe midfielder, who was handed his debut against Al Hilal in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw game at the BabaYara Stadium.
In’form Songne Yacouba will not be in action for the Porcupine Warriors following his suspension.
Midfielder Richard Senanu and Abdul Ganiyu failed to make the squad due to injuries suffered for the past weeks.
Striker Dany Teguy Zabo and Frederick Boateng have been included the list likewise Prince Acquah who has been absent in their last two games.
A victory for the Porcupines takes them to 10 points, which is enough for their qualification regardless of what happens Al Hilal and Nkana FC in Sudan.
