Ghanaian international winger, Ernest Asante was on target for Omonia Nicosia as they thrashed Karmiotissa Pano on Friday.
After the away team missed a penalty kick in the 4th minute, Asante scored the game’s opening goal in the seventh minute of the match to make it 1-0 early in the game.
Fotis Papoulis added the second goal for the visitors on the 38th minute mark to give the Green and Whites a two goals advantage before the end of the eventful first half.
Marinos Tzionis made it three six minutes after the break as Thiago Santos added the fourth four minutes later to make it 4-0.
Loannis Kousoulos scored the fifth on the 81st minute before Nikita Baranov scored a consolation for the home team three minutes to full time to make it 5-1.
Asante has two goals in the Cyprus top-flight in thirteen matches this campaign.
