Ghana’s senior national team – the Black Stars – moved up one place to the 51st position of the latest FIFA world ranking released Thursday for the month of November after beating Ethiopia during the recent international break.
Belgium remain top of the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, although the gap between the Red Devils, France (2nd, unchanged) and Brazil (3rd, unchanged) has narrowed over the past month.
Defeats for the leading duo in the UEFA Nations League resulted in both dropping six Ranking points, while Brazil – even though they are still 50 points behind France – added seven after wins over Uruguay (7th, down 1) and Cameroon (55th, down 4).
The Black Stars moved from 1407 points accumulated last month to 1412 points to be ranked 52nd in the world ranking.
However, the Stars moved two places to be ranked in 6th place in the African ranking.
Senegal are however, occupied the number spot in Africa with 1505 points followed by Tunisia who are ranked 26th in the world ranking but second on the African continent with 1493.
