Ghana’s Black Satellites‘ were handed a 1-0 defeat against their Moroccan counterparts in an international friendly ahead the upcoming U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Game ended 1-0 in favor of Moroccans in the friendly game played in Rabat on Thursday night.
The game comes as a valuable learning experience for the Black Satellites as they continue preparations for the U20 AFCON.
Ghana have been paired in Group A alongside host Cote D’Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and one team from the Central African Football Federations Union (UNIFAC) for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament runs from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Ghana has won the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations four times: in 1993, 1999, 2009, and 2021 and are considered one of the powerhouses in African youth football, having also won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009.
