Asante Kotoko has been hit with a major setback as influential midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu will be absent from Sunday’s clash against Basake Holy Stars due to suspension.
The Porcupine Warriors will make the trip to Aiyinase to face the league newcomers in a Week 8 Ghana Premier League encounter at the CAM Park.
Manu, known for his midfield control, is ruled out due to accumulated yellow cards, having been booked against Karela United on matchday one, Young Apostles, and most recently against FC Samartex in Obuasi.
Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side will feel the absence of the former Legon Cities star, who has been instrumental to their unbeaten run so far. Kotoko currently stands second on the league table with 14 points from six games, holding one game in hand.
They aim to continue their strong start to the season and maintain momentum despite this key setback.
