Asante Kotoko youngster Bernard Somuah expressed his pride in participating in Ghana’s most significant football clash against Hearts of Oak.
Somuah made a substitute appearance during the Porcupine Warriors’ 2-0 victory over the Phobians at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. He assisted Mukwala in scoring the second goal, sealing the win for Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a double over their arch-rivals, following a thrilling 3-2 win earlier in the season.
The Uganda international, Mukwala, scored two exceptional goals, leading the Porcupine Warriors to victory and securing the three maximum points.
Mukwala opened the scoring just eight minutes into the game and clinched the win in injury time, ensuring maximum points for the Porcupine Warriors.
“An honor to feature in the biggest clash in the country and most importantly with a win. Krobea will always remain Supreme,” Somuah wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
This victory propels Kotoko into the top half of the table, now in 9th place and further away from the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak find themselves in a precarious position, sitting 14th on the table, just two points above the drop zone.
