Asante Kotoko have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year contract, as they gear up for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors, fresh from winning the MTN FA Cup last season, are looking to go one step further this campaign by reclaiming the league title they narrowly missed out on. Strengthening the squad has become a top priority, and Donzo’s arrival marks a significant addition.
The 27-year-old joins Kotoko from Hafia FC in Guinea and brings with him a wealth of experience from African continental competitions, having played in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
The deal, however, is still pending the approval of a work permit.
“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit,” a statement from the club confirmed.
Donzo is expected to partner with key attackers Kwame Poku and Albert Amoah, forming a potentially dangerous frontline for the Reds as they chase domestic glory and prepare for continental challenges.
