Asante Kotoko has put an end to the speculations surrounding the departure of their Video Analyst who doubled as the physical trainer, Nazim Mohammed Boudjadi, through a press release.
Earlier reports had indicated that the Video Analyst had resigned from his position on Monday morning.
In the evening, the club issued a press release confirming Nazim Mohammed Boudjadi’s departure and providing an explanation for the situation.
“Prior to joining the club in Ghana, he had requested permission from the management to visit his ailing mother in Saudi Arabia. However, considering the importance of the first game of the season against Kadiogo, we urged him to delay his trip until after the second leg, to which he agreed but ultimately did not comply,” the club stated.
“In recent days, he informed the management about his mother’s deteriorating health and expressed his desire to be with her in Qatar, where she is receiving further treatment. The management granted his request, and he departed Ghana on 22/05/2023,” the press release outlined.
However, the release also mentioned that Nazim Mohammed Boudjadi is not expected to return, given that there are only three matches remaining in the season and his contract expires at the end of the season.
Asante Kotoko concluded the press release by extending their best wishes to Nazim Mohammed Boudjadi in his future endeavors and expressing hopes for his mother’s swift recovery.
