Asante Kotoko’s assistant coach, David Ocloo, expressed his elation after witnessing his team’s triumphant performance against Bofoakwa Tano in the seventeenth week of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a convincing 2-0 victory over the Premier League returnees, concluding the first half of the campaign on a high note.
The pivotal player of the match, Steve Mukwala, showcased his brilliance with a remarkable brace, propelling Asante Kotoko to claim the coveted second spot on the league table. Ocloo, reflecting on the match, remarked, “It’s amazing. I told you we are going to work and get a decent result, and we’ve gotten more than a descent result.”
Despite admitting that the team squandered several chances, Ocloo praised their purposeful play in front of goal. Acknowledging the team’s initial struggles in the season, he highlighted their strong finish in the latter part of the first round, attributing their success to the players’ unity and determination.
