Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Week award following his outstanding performance on the opening weekend of the 2025/26 season.
The Black Stars striker was in scintillating form for AFC Bournemouth during their season opener against defending champions Liverpool at Anfield last Friday. Despite Bournemouth falling to a 4-2 defeat, Semenyo stole the spotlight with a sensational second-half brace that briefly brought his side level.
His explosive runs, direct dribbling, and clinical finishing earned him a place among the top performers of the round.
Semenyo now joins a competitive shortlist that includes Dan Ballard, Hugo Ekitike, Erling Haaland, David Raya, Tijjani Reijnders, Richarlison, and Chris Wood.
The 25-year-old has started the new campaign in fine fashion, and Bournemouth will be counting on him to continue delivering decisive moments throughout the season. Fans can cast their votes to support Semenyo in the Player of the Week poll via the official Premier League platform.
