Ghana international Andre Ayew has expressed his gratitude to former boss, Xavi Hernandez following his departure from Al Sadd.
The Xavi is set to be named as the new head coach for Barcelona after the sacking of Ronald Koeman after a poor run of performances in charge.
Ayew was signed by Al Sadd earlier this summer by Xavi, with his contract with Swansea City expiring at the end of last season.
The Ghanaian has made a blistering start to his career with the Qatari side, scoring eight goals in 10 appearances for the club in the Qatari Stars League.
Following the announcement that the former Barca boss will be leaving the club, Ayew has thank his former gaffer and wished him well ahead of the new journey.
