Ghana captain Andre Ayew has shared his excitement after finalizing his return to French club Le Havre.
The 34-year-old has signed a deal with the Ligue 1 side until the end of the season, following his instrumental role in helping the club avoid relegation last season. Ayew’s wealth of experience is expected to boost the team as they aim for another strong performance in the French topflight.
“The story continues. Alhamdulilah,” Ayew wrote on his Instagram account after officially sealing the move.
The seasoned forward is set to make his second debut for Le Havre following the international break, with their upcoming home match against Lyon on October 20, 2024.
Last season, after joining the team in November 2023, Ayew scored five goals in the league, including one that was a contender for Goal of the Season. Before his stint in England, where he played for West Ham United and Swansea City, Ayew had already made a name for himself in Ligue 1 with Olympique Marseille and FC Lorient.
