Amiens head coach Philippe Hinschberger says Ghanaian international Emmanuel Lomotey will play in central defence on Saturday when they travel away to face Le Havre in the French Ligue 2.
Hinschberger stressed that he has defensive problems and the best is to shift the Ghanaian to the back this weekend though he prefers playing in midfield.
“Lomotey’s first friendly game when he played at the back was pretty good. It was not his will and when it is not, there may be brakes, blockages or the wrong behavior in situations. You don’t have to bother playing around with people who don’t want to play in this position. He wants to play in the middle. But now I need him at the back, he’s going to do it and well, I’m sure.” Hinschberger stated in a presser on Friday
“This is the best solution for me, I read that we were wondering about the different possibilities this week, but we have to do simple things with people who know the position even if Mathis (Lachuer) and Matthéo ( Xantippe) made play. “
Lomotey has played eleven league games this season as Amiens sit 19th on the league log with 14 points from 15 games.
