Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu has kicked off his stint with Stade Rennais FC, participating in his inaugural training session with the team.
The 23-year-old defender recently completed a high-profile transfer to the French Ligue 1 club from Clermont Foot in a deal reportedly worth €11 million.
Having joined Stade Rennais on January 29, Seidu wasted no time integrating into the squad and engaged in his first training session within 24 hours. The team is gearing up for their upcoming French Ligue 1 match against Montpellier.
Capable of playing as a centre-back or right-back, the versatile defender might make his debut in the home game against Montpellier scheduled for Saturday, February 3.
Seidu, who represented Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, played a limited role in the tournament, with the Black Stars exiting at the group stage for the second consecutive time.
