Ghana defender Alexander Djiku was in full 90 minutes of action football for Strasbourg as they suffered a 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday.
Timothee Pembele struck in the 18th minute to give PSG a 1 – 0 lead after the break at the Parc des Princes.
Kylian Mbappe extended the host’s lead to 2-0 in the 79th minute when he was set up by Angel Di Maria.
In the 89th minute, Idrissa Gana Gueye scored a fine goal when he slotted home Julian Draxler’s pass to record a 3-0 lead before Moise Kean sealed an emphatic 4-0 win for PSV after finding the back of the net on stoppage time.
Djiku has been impressive in the ongoing 2020/21 season for his side.
The stalwart centre back who made his debut for the Black Stars in October lasted the entire duration of the game partnered Mohammed Simakan in defence as they kept another clean sheet in the league.
The versatile defender has made 12 appearances for Strasbourg so far this season.
Out of the 12 games played so far, Djiku started 11 of them and started one from the bench.
