Ghanaian midfielder Akwasi Owusu has expressed his excitement after sealing a move to Danish club Vendsyssel FF.
The teenage prospect signed a one-year contract with the Danish second-tier side and is already setting his sights on contributing to the club’s ambitions.
“I’m very happy to join Vendsyssel FF,” Owusu said in his first interview with the club. “It’s a great opportunity and I’m ready to work hard and help the team compete at the top. I want to give the fans something to cheer about.”
Vendsyssel’s Sporting Director, Jens Hammer Sorensen, praised the youngster’s qualities and potential. “Akwasi is a dynamic and disciplined midfielder. We believe he has what it takes to grow and become an important player for the team.”
The move marks Owusu’s first stint in European football, and he is determined to make the most of the opportunity by earning regular playing time and developing his game.
Vendsyssel FF confirmed the signing on Thursday, July 31, ahead of the new season.
