Dutch born Ghanaian striker Akwasi Asante was the hero of the day on Saturday afternoon as his Chesterfield side walloped Barnet by six goals to nothing in the English Conference League.
The former Birmingham City attacker was in his elements at the Technique Stadium as he single-handedly destroyed Barnet by putting up a man of the match performance.
Asante was a torn in the flesh of the Barnet defence as he netted in 40th, 74 and 79th minute to complete a memorable hat-trick with Scott Boden, Haydn Hollis and Jack McCourt also scoring to complete the annihilation.
The 28-year-old forward joined Chesterfield from Gloucester on July 1, 2020 and has now netted four goals in four league games
