According to Ajax interim head coach John Heitinga, Mohammed Kudus’ participation in the 2023 Dutch Cup final against PSV Eindhoven will need to be assessed.
After missing the club’s previous two games due to a hamstring injury, the Ghanaian only recently started exercising again this week.
The 22-year-old was forced to sit out the past two Eredivisie games against Emmen and PSV after being substituted in the semi-final victory over Feyenoord earlier this month.
But Heitinga says a decision will be made on his involvement on Sunday.
“Rensch and Kudus have [partly] joined the group training today. We will see how they react tomorrow and then take a final decision [for Sunday’s game],” he said at the press conference.
