Ghana’s Black Queens recovered from an earlier defeat to South Africa to whip Cameroon 2-0 in their second game of the Aisha Buhari Tournament on Monday afternoon.
Coach Mercy Tagoe and her redeemed their image by beating Cameroon after their earlier loss to South Africa.
Priscilla Adubea scored the first goal for Ghana after an impressive display in the game.
The Spain-based attacker scored Ghana’s first goal 17 minutes into the second half when she received a through pass, cut in from the left before dipping past the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
Vivian Konadu later scored Ghana’s second goal from a solo effort when she picked up a pass, beat three Cameroonian defenders before shooting past the goalkeeper.
The tournament serves as preparation for Ghana ahead of their Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria next Month.
