Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has dropped hints about a potential return to his former club, Asante Kotoko.
Back in 2008, the talented midfielder joined Asante Kotoko on loan from Berekum Arsenal. During his loan spell, Badu made 18 appearances and scored two goals, showcasing his skills and talent.
After leaving Qingdao, the U-20 World Cup winner joined Accra Great Olympics on a one-year deal for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season. However, he left the club on mutual grounds and has since been without a club.
In a recent interview, the former Black Stars midfielder disclosed that his contract with Great Olympics has ended, and he is now a free agent. He expressed his availability to join any team that meets his requirements.
Regarding a potential return to Asante Kotoko, Agyemang-Badu requested patience from the fans as the administrative processes with Manhyia are ongoing. Once the club presents an offer that he finds favorable, he is open to signing and rejoining the team.
“My contract with Great Olympics has ended and I’m available for any team that will meet my demands,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.
“On the question of my rejoining Asante Kotoko, I will tell the fans to be patient and wait for Manhyia to complete the administrative processes.
“When Kotoko presents an offer after that and I find it favourable, I will sign and rejoin them,” he added.
Throughout his career, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has been a key figure, making 78 appearances for the Black Stars and scoring 11 goals. He was part of the squad that represented Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
In addition to Asante Kotoko, he has also featured for clubs like Udinese Calcio and Hellas Verona, showcasing his footballing prowess and experience.
