Hearts of Oak recorded an important win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday during Week 31 of the Ghana Premier League as Daniel Afriyie Barnie made a strong statement.
The Phobian striker stuck the winner in the 66th minute in a manner that proved why he is the most improved attacker in the team coached by Samuel Boadu this season. No more the player known to waste good chances and lacked creativity, now Afriyie is a man full of confidence and has shown that he is capable of even doing better next season.
Phobians fans will definitely remember this goal for a life time especially when they go on to win the league title – which I think they will surely do so.
Overall he was a threat to the Kotoko defence for most part of the game and this was a real big statement from the Ghana U20 star.
