André Zambo Anguissa is confident. The Cameroonian midfielder will play his second African Cup with Cameroon in a few days and for him, there is only one objective : that is to win the trophy.
“The group is calm and determined. Since the start of the preparation, everything has been going on very well. We feel that we have a collective team that lives well together.” Anguissa said.
“It bodes well for the future. I’m very happy to be back with my teammates, it’s a family. I think we are on the way for a great adventure and we will do everything to keep this Cup at home. That’s our goal today.” he continued.
“It’s a group with a lot of quality. The difference today is in the level of cohesion. It really is a family, it shows. Everyone wants to do things for the collective. Despite the competition, there is a group that works together. I am here to give the best of me. We are 28 soldiers who are ready to give our very best. I think that with that, you can accomplish anything “. he added.
Cameroon takes on Burkina Faso in the opening match of the tournament on January 9th.
