Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso was adjudged man of the man in Ghana’s defeat to the
Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Monday at the Ismailia Stadium.
The Black Stars lost 5-4 on penalties and exited the tournament after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
The Alaves ace who provided Ghana’s equalizer was delight to watch on the day winning himself the best player award for the second time in the competition.
The workaholic midfielder however, upon receiving the award burst into tears as he could not control himself over Ghana’s painful exit.
Ghana will now have to wait for another two years to revive their hope of winning their fifth continental title.
The Black Stars won their last Afcon trophy in 1982.
