According to reports, before the crucial match on Wednesday, January 19, 2020, Kotoko who was moving to Dormaa decided to take a different route from directed by a local soothsayer they had consulted.
In the game, both Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko were playing with ten men due to superstitious beliefs which lasted for the first half. Aduana defender Farouk Mohammed and Kotoko’s midfielder Martin Antwi were on the bench waiting to be introduced onto the field of play However, Aduana Stars won the bragging rights on the day as reigned supreme over Asante Kotoko.
