AshantiGold have confirmed the appointment of former Ebusua Dwarfs tactician, Ernest Thompson Quartey as the new head coach of the club ahead of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
Coach Quartey has penned a two-year deal with the Miners after successful negotiations.
AshantiGold finished last season with five coaches in charge of the club. Roberto Landi, Milovan Cirkovic, Romain Folz, Sarfo Castro, and Thomas Duah were all in the dugout at some stage during the season.

Thomas Duah acted as the interim head coach from May till the end of the season as AshantiGold finished 9th position on the league standings.
The Miners also made it to the final of the FA Cup. But they lost on penalties to league champions, Hearts of Oak.
Ernest Thompson coached Ebusua Dwarfs in the 2020/21 as they suffered relegation to the Division One League.
