Ghana captain Andre Ayew will now shift his attention to the Black Stars after he failed to gain promotion to the English Premier League with Swansea City on Saturday.
The 31-year-old is expected to lead the four-time Africa Champions for next month’s two international friendly games against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
Ayew has been left worried and disappointed after his Swansea City team lost 2-0 to Brentford at Wembley on Saturday to end hopes of qualifying to the elite division of English football.
Charles Akonnor’s outfit are set to play Morocco away in Rabat on June 8 and travel back home to host Cote d’Ivoire at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium four days later.
