The legal team of Aduana Stars Football Club has decided to plead with the Sunyani High court today to grant Farouk Adam bail in other to undergo treatment after obtaining some injuries in the accident that led to the death of a police officer in Dorma.
The Aduana Defender was apprehended by the police yesterday after he was involved in a hit and run of a police officer who was later found dead. Farouk who has admitted to accidentally hitting the police officer with his car has been arraigned before the Sunyani High Court today.
Speaking to Starr Sports, the Spokesperson of Aduana Stars Evans Oppong says Farouk looks unhealthy; hence the club’s legal team has decided to plead with the court for the player to be granted bail to undergo treatment before court proceedings start.
“Some of our officials, who were at the police station earlier, spoke with Farouk and in fact, e looks, disappointed, sad, and speechless. He is very down. As for the accident, he has admitted he accidentally hit the police officer but what really caused it is the court that will determine it.
”As a club, we shall arrange a lawyer for him to defend the issue. Our legal team will try to please with the court today that Farouk is also injured and needs medical attention. So we will plead with the court to grant him bail for him to receive medical treatment so that in the next court sitting he will appear healthy” He told Starr Sports.
Farouk Adam has played in 10 of Aduana’s league games this season. His contract with the Aduana Stars expired in January this year and agreed for a one-year extension with the club in February.
