ltalian-born Ghanaian forward Davis Mensah has emerged as transfer target for Calcio Catania in the ongoing transfer window after impressive outings last season.

The Serie C side are ready to sign the 29-year old Ghanaian attacker from fellow Serie C club US Triestina ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.

Sky Sports in Italy reports that Catania have already commenced talks with US Triestina for a possible capture of the former Virtus Verona forward.

Their pursuit for Mensah comes after they ended their chase for Reggina midfielder Roberto De Francesco.

SPORTS World Ghana understands that US Triestina are more than ready to seal a deal with US Triestina to secure the services of their star boy.

Mensah joined US Triestina in 2017, making 96 appearances and bagging scoring 18 goals with 9 assists to his name during his three seasons stint with the club.

The player whose contract with US Triestina expires in June 2021, is currently valued €250,000 according to transfermarket.
