Hearts of Oak new striker Danjuma Ademola Kuti has set sights on at least bagging fifteen goals for the club in the first round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
The former Nigerian youth international signed a two-year deal with the Phobians back in May but is yet to feature for the capital club due to the suspension of football in Ghana following the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Kuti says he hopes to make a new record in the GPL by scoring 15 goals in the first round of the season.
”If my coach at Hearts of Oak gives me playing in the first round of the 2020/21 season, I promise to score 15 goals. I promise to do that in the league,” he told SPORTSworldGhana.com exclusively.
He added that ” I want to break that record in Ghana, In Dubai I played 15 matches and I scored 12 goals for Fujairah so I know I can do the same in the Ghana league,”
With the Ghanaian borders yet to be opened due to the Covid-19 situation, Kuti remains in Nigeria and has been keeping fit on a training programme prepared for him by Hearts’ technical team.
The lanky striker has previously played for Lobi Star Football Club Makudi (Nigeria), Chornomorets – Ukraine, Hapoel Ramat Gan -Isreal, DPMMFC, Singapore, Punjab FC India, Aryan Club.
Ademola Kuti is the first African and Nigerian player to play under Diego Maradona.
