Ex-Asante Kotoko defender Richard Osei Agyemang, who was part of the terrible accident that happened in 2017, has disclosed that he still feels the damage he had as a result of the accident.
Revealing this secret on Angel FM’s floodlight show, he explained that, it’s the reason why the victims still need an insurance package in a form of compensation
“When we were taken to hospital after the accident, the doctors didn’t pay much attention to the players who didn’t sustain physical injuries. As a result, I still feel pains within my body because of the accident but I have no option than to play football with it and it hasn’t been easy for me” Osei Agyeman said.
He said the doctors only addressed few cuts that he had on his leg and was left on his own without any further serious medical examination.
“It was my mother who took me through body therapy to ensure that the pains within me won’t have impact on my body, but it wasn’t enough because she’s not a professional. Also, Opoku Nti and George Kennedy took me to a herbalist to help me recover from the pain I felt in my leg” Richard Osei Agyeman told Angel sports.
Making reference to Baba Mahama and Ashitey Ollenu’s incident, he asked whether these players have picked their form after they were affected by the accident.
He, however, cited this, as one of the reasons the players need to be compensated.
