Asante Kotoko showed their superiority at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu as they recorded a 1-0 win over Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League match day 9 encounter.
Maxwell Konadu’s men clinched all points following an own goal from Dreams’ left back Abdul Bashiru in the 69th minute.
The ‘dreamers’ were reduced to 10-men following a second yellow card in the 32nd minute by Amadu Dantani but held their lines through the first half.
Two attacking change by coach Maxwell Konadu in the second half did the magic as Kingsley Effah and Captain Emmanuel Gyamfi made way for Richard Arthur and Maxwell Baakoh respectively, pilling pressure on the hosts defenders which resulted to the own goal in the 69th minute.
A cross intended for Justice Blay from Ibrahim Moro in the box was deflected into the net by Abdul Bashiru to put the Porcupine Warriors in front in the 69th minute mark.
Following Accra Hearts of Oak earlier win in Dawu on Match Day 8, The Porcupine warriors were poised to repeat same feat and as a result, snatched their second win on their third visit to the Theatre of Dreams.
