Chairman of the Black Stars management Committee George Afriyie believes the Dzamefe Commission’s report on him is now dead and buried.
George who is a ranking member of the Ghana football Association was invited by the Dzamefe commission after Ghana’s debacle at the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
The inquisitorial commission after it findings recommended to government not to allow a number of the FA officials Including George to come close to any national football team of Ghana.
The Government white paper on the 2014 Brazil World Cup commission upheld what was said about George but hasn’t been effective as the FA member had the opportunity to challenge the findings after 6 months of which the white paper was released at a high court.
George Afriyie in a recent interview with Kumasi based Adehye FM speaking to issues related to his ban on national teams as the white paper ordered sounded very relaxed and stated the commission’s report is now like an issue which is dead and buried.
“For the commission’s report, someone will say is a dead and buried because if you use hatred in doing something this is what it result into.
For me personally I don’t see anywhere where I can be charged with an adverse finding. You invited me as a non target witness and to help investigate and I turn out to be a target witness, well we are waiting.” Said George.
The commission revealed in their report George together with some members of the FA shared monies which they failed to make a proper account of when they were invited.
