Asante Kotoko midfielder Kwame Bonsu has expressed excitement after powering his side to a 2-1 win over Zesco United in the Caf Confederation Cup on Wednesday.
The former Gefle midfielder put up a splendid performance to steal the show in midfield as Kotoko sealed a slim win over Zambian side Zesco United.
Bonsu, and winger Emmanuel Gyamfi scored one each in the first half to ensure Kotoko picked all three points in the crunchy clash.
Ghanaian striker Rahim Osmanu however, came off the bench net the only consolation goal for the Zambian in the 73rd minute.
And Bonsu who lasted the entire duration of the game extolled his teammates on twitter for the hard-fought victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“Proud of all the lads, one step closer! Game by game ! Let’s go. Thanks for all the support,” Bonsu tweeted.
