Ghanaian forward Ernest Agyiri was in outstanding form on Sunday afternoon, netting a brace to inspire FCI Levadia to a commanding 6-1 victory over Tallinna Kalev in their Week 24 Estonian Meistriliiga clash.
Levadia started the away encounter on the front foot and took an early lead after just four minutes through Joao Pedro. However, the hosts managed to draw level in the 31st minute when Taanie Usta struck for Tallinna Kalev.
Before the break, Agyiri restored Levadia’s advantage in the 40th minute, latching onto an assist from Michael Schjonning-Larsen to make it 2-1.
The Ghanaian doubled his tally in the second half, continuing his fine scoring run, before Joao Pedro completed a hat-trick with two more goals. Wendel also got on the scoresheet as Levadia ran riot to secure all three points.
Agyiri’s brace takes his season tally to 10 goals and 8 assists in 21 league appearances, underlining his importance to Levadia’s attack in their push for the league title.
