Ghana head coach Otto Addo has admitted that the Black Stars face a difficult challenge against Madagascar in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier tonight.
The Black Stars will take on the Barea at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium in Morocco for their Matchday 6 encounter, aiming to maintain their lead in Group I.
Speaking to the Ghana FA media ahead of the game, Addo acknowledged Madagascar’s strong form, particularly after their impressive 4-1 win over the Central African Republic.
“We observed the Madagascar team, and they have done really, really well, especially in the last game, so they are in good form, and it’s going to be a tough game,” the 49-year-old said.
Kickoff is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
Ghana moved to the top of Group I with 12 points after a commanding 5-0 victory over Chad last Friday, maintaining a two-point cushion over second-placed Madagascar.
The four-time African champions are seeking their fifth FIFA World Cup appearance, with the tournament set to be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
