Benjamin Acquah opened the scoring for Helsingborg IF in their 2-2 draw with Sandvikens IF in the Swedish Superettan on Saturday.
The Ghanaian striker, set up by Ervin Gigovic, found the net in the 27th minute to give Helsingborg an early 1-0 lead. The team extended their advantage shortly after halftime when Taylor Silverholt, assisted by Adrian Svanbäck, scored in the 53rd minute, making it 2-0.
Sandvikens, however, fought back. Amin Al-Hamawi converted a penalty in the 71st minute to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Despite Helsingborg’s efforts to maintain their lead, Al-Hamawi struck again in the 88th minute to level the score, ensuring a point for Sandvikens.
Acquah now has five goals and two assists in 28 league appearances this season, highlighting his attacking contributions.
Helsingborg will aim to return to winning form in their upcoming match against Örebro on November 3rd after letting a two-goal lead slip.
