Former Aduana Stars forward Isaac Mintah has officially started training with Asante Kotoko as he seeks a potential move to the Ghanaian giants.
The 25-year-old attacker is currently without a club after concluding his stint with Libyan outfit Al-Ahli.
Mintah joined Al-Ahli in February 2024 following a standout season with Aduana Stars, where he scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 40 appearances in the Ghana Premier League. After a brief spell in Libya, the talented forward has returned to Ghana in anticipation of a move during the upcoming second transfer window.
Training with Asante Kotoko began on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, as Mintah aims to secure a contract with the record Premier League holders. However, he will need to impress the technical team, led by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has expressed the club’s intention to strengthen their squad during the transfer window.
“We will augment the team in departments where we need to strengthen. So, definitely, we’ll do that,” Ogum stated, highlighting the club’s commitment to enhancing their roster ahead of the second half of the season.
